Since it is scientifically known and proven that you should not consume trans fat, you should be aware of the alternatives. Just because trans fat is bad for us does not mean that we are going to stop eating our favorite foods. But it is good to be aware of little things that you can do to make your diet healthier. Some diet experts are coming up with ideas to decrease intakes of trans fat. Here are a few, I hope you try to incorporate these tips into your diet!
- Using saturated fats such as butter, but in much smaller amounts.
- Inventing another man-made fat that tastes good without ill health effects.
- Using saturated vegetable fats, including palm and coconut oils.
- Using a blend of monounsaturated or polyunsaturated vegetable oils to get the shelf-life, taste, and texture of trans fats.
